application of therapeutic massage, massage session, amherst office, northampton officeWith 28 years of experience as a Massage Therapist, my work addresses relief of muscular pain, chronic discomfort, and the need for safe, compassionate touch.

A graduate of Health Choices School of Massage in Rocky Hill, N.J., I also am a graduate of Thomas Edison College in Princeton, N.J. with an B.A in Human Services/ Counseling. I taught at Stillpoint School of Massage in Hatfield, Ma. from 1992-1999, and continued to teach on the faculty at the Stillpoint Massage Program when it became a credit program at Greenfield Community College, Greenfield, Massachusetts from 2000 -2010. I continue to teach on the Faculty at Greenfield Community College, in the Professional Studies Department.

Since 1989 I have been offering massage to my clients in Northampton and Amherst, Ma, helping people feel and move with less muscular pain and restriction.

Prior to starting my massage practice, I worked for 10 years as a social worker with Children and Families in my home state of New Jersey, and later for Hyacinth Foundation AIDS Program, serving families and individuals living with AIDS.

In addition to my private practice, I have worked in several settings which include:

  • Chiropractic Offices assisting Physicians with Pre Adjustment Massage
  • Physician Related Referrals for sports injuries, chronic pain and auto accidents
  • Retirement Communities & Nursing Homes, residents & staff
  • College Dorms, Faculty Retreats and On Site College
  • Community Education Workshops
  • Special Events: Employer Health Fairs and Community Events

When not working with clients I enjoy my family, and am an avid Backpacker and Hiker, especially in the Sierras, the White Mountains, the Grand Canyon, and Pioneer Valley of Massachusetts. As a runner, I have completed several Triathlons and the New York City Marathon.

I believe each person that I have the honor of working with deserves respect, care and professional intentional touch. My approach over the years has been to create a safe, comfortable and restful place for the work of Therapeutic Massage.
